Under Stairs Wine Cellar

Under Stairs Wine Cellar Installation Guide

WHAT TO DO WITH THAT EMPTY SPACE UNDER THE STAIRS?

NOT SURE WHERE THAT WINE STORAGE AREA SHOULD GO?

HAVE SOME DEAD SPACE YOU CAN CONVERT INTO A WINE ROOM?

WANT A SHOW STOPPER WINE COOLER IN YOUR HOME?

HERE IS HOW…

The following section shows a step-by-step process of how to install a Wine Cellar underneath the stairways. It all depends on the way you would like to have your Wine Cellar or Room installed.

1. Create an opening space underneath the stairways, where you can build the wine cellar/room. Place the wooden wall frames onto the excavated area. If your Wine Cellar includes a Top Triangular Frame design, we got you covered on how to install it (see Top Triangular Frame Installation below).

2. Apply the vapor barrier to the wooden wall support.

3. Make sure the vapor barrier is wrapped all the way around the wooden frames as it goes along.

4. Install the foam board insulation between the wood studs.

5. Apply the green board over insulation-filled wall support.

6. Apply the floor tiles on the wine cellar’s ground. You can consider adding the Wine Barrel Floor Tiles to your wine cellar design.

7. Install the cooling system in a proper space and location where air supply can circulate. You can pick and choose a Self-Contained Cooling System for your cellar needs.

8. Use water-based paint, stone wall, or wood wall tiles to complete the wall surface installation.

9. When the wall surface is set, install the wine racks inside the wine cellar. Wine Racks of your choice are available for you.

10. Lastly, place the door frames and insulated windows to complete the wine cellar installation. Make sure the area is air tight.
