Vinotemp International's Dual-Zone Wine Dispenser and Cooler Wins Platinum Adex

April 11, 2012

LOS ANGELES, Calif., April 11, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vinotemp International, a recognized leader in the wine storage and refrigeration industry for 25 years, announced today that its new Dual-Zone Wine Dispenser and Cooler (VT-100WINEDISP4) has earned Design Journal's 2012 Platinum Award for Design Excellence (ADEX).

ADEX is the largest and most prestigious awards program in the design industry. Sponsored by Design Journal, ADEX is dedicated to recognizing the best appliances, furniture and fixtures marketed to the design trade. Thousands of products were entered in this year's competition and each entry was reviewed and awarded points by ADEX judges - an anonymous panel of professionals representing a cross section of the design industry. The products that earned the most points were then awarded either a platinum, gold or silver ADEX.

"Vinotemp is dedicated to making storing, and enjoying, wine as simple, attractive and efficient as possible," states India Hynes, president of Vinotemp International. "We are honored that our efforts to create a new wine dispenser that can store and serve wine, and do it in both residential and professional settings, has been recognized with the coveted Platinum ADEX."

The unique dispensing and storing capabilities of Vinotemp's Dual-Zone Wine Dispenser and Cooler make it perfect for home or commercial use. Its two cooling systems and advanced digital technology maintain wines' proper serving and storing temperatures (between 40°F and 65°F) in two different climate zones. The upper section of the Dual-Zone Wine Dispenser and Cooler displays and dispenses wine from up to four wine bottles - while the lower section stores and chills 54 bottles. The innovative dispenser keeps open wine clean and safe from oxidization for weeks with NSF approved plastic components, sanitary stainless steel spouts, and the use of argon or nitrogen gas.

Featuring a touch screen control panel accompanied by a varietal indicator for each zone of the dispenser, Vinotemp's Dual-Zone Wine Dispenser and Cooler is as functional as it is attractive. Displaying three different glasses of wine - a large red wine glass, a smaller white wine glass and a champagne flute - the varietal indicator provides an uncomplicated temperature reading by illuminating the appropriate glass depending on the set temperature of the cooler. The unit also features in-door storage that attractively displays the wine being dispensed, blue illuminated stainless steel dispensing-buttons, and blue internal LED lighting.

A front exhaust allows Vinotemp's Dual-Zone Wine Dispenser and Cooler (VT-100WINEDISP4) to be built-in or freestanding. The unit measures 23.5"W x 24.5"D x 63.625"H and is available for purchase through www.vinotemp.com for $4,995.

Design Journal's 2012 ADEX experienced the largest entrant pool to date. Thousands of award entries were received from companies in the kitchen, bath, cabinet, hospitality, home furnishings, flooring and lighting industries. All winning products can be viewed on Design Journal's website at www.adexawards.com.
