For best results, point the thermometer at the matte label of a wine bottle. Shiny/coated surfaces may cause thermometer to give an inaccurate reading. Note: wine temp is approximately 5 degrees cooler than bottle temp when bottle has been removed from cooler for 3-10 mins.
