The Heirloom Collection of Oak Barrel Wine Casks are handcrafted from Premium Oak in Germany since 1824. They're now available in America and make an excellent addition to tasting rooms. This unit is a 5.5 liter cask. Special Notes: These are neutral containers that will not impart any oak character to the wine. Prior to use, we recommend that the cask be rinsed with cold water. (Do not use hot water or any alkaline solution.) Fill the empty cask with cold water and let stand for 3 days. Empty the cask by swishing the water around vigorously. Only after the cask is completely dry, close the brass spigot. Your barrel cask is ready for use. To clean your barrel cask, use a feather duster. You may also use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down gently. Do not use furniture polish or cleanser. To maintain a high-quality seal, your barrel cask should not be stored in high temperatures or allowed to become empty. Because this product is made with natural wood, the color will enrich over time. Oak Barrel Wine Cask comes with a 2-year warranty against leakage, if used according to these instructions. |
