VINOTEMP’S NEWEST WINE AND BEVERAGE STORAGE OPTIONS ARE RECOGNIZED WITH FIVE 2014 PLATINUM AWARDS FOR DESIGN EXCELLENCE (ADEX)
April 10, 2014
LOS ANGELES (April 10, 2014) – Vinotemp, a recognized leader in the wine storage and refrigeration industry for nearly 30 years, today announced that the industry's first Two Door Formica Wine Cabinet along with four new mirrored wine storage and beverage coolers have been honored with a Platinum Award for Design Excellence (ADEX) – the largest and most prestigious awards program for product design of appliances, furniture, fixtures and finishes marketed to the design trade.
“The 2013-14 ADEX Awards attracted upwards of 500 companies submitting more than 2,000 innovative new products,” said John Platter, executive director of ADEX. “The ADEX Award has recognized many outstanding product designs over the years, and Vinotemp has earned its place among that elite group.”
As the only company to offer wine storage with a unique Formica finish, Vinotemp recently launched the Two Door Formica Wine Cabinet. Available in 15 colors – with the ability to create a customized color – the Formica cabinet can be crafted to complement any room while providing storage for 144 bottles of wine. Also new to Vinotemp is its mirrored product line. As the industry’s first line of wine and beverage storage options to feature patent pending mirrored trim design, the products offer a refreshing alternative to stainless steel. Like the Two Door Formica Wine Cabinet, four products in the mirrored line were given the highest level of recognition from ADEX:
“It’s been exciting to push the envelope when it comes to the finish and color options of Vinotemp’s newest wine and beverage storage options,” states President of Vinotemp, India Hynes. “Being recognized by ADEX with five Platinum awards is an honor. The esteemed recognitions serve as affirmation of the work it took to create these unique Vinotemp wine and beverage storage options.”
All of the entries in each of the ADEX categories have potential for three award levels of platinum, gold or silver. Judges awarded points based on form, function, value, and fitness for particular purpose. Total points earned determined each winner’s award level. All Platinum, Gold and Silver level products will be published in the 2014 ADEX Winners Edition and be featured all year on designjournalmag.com.
